AI visibility API and MCP access, compared

Which tool lets my agent read and write AI visibility data, and on which plan?

All six vendors checked have both a REST API and an MCP server, but the plan gates differ: Profound keeps both on Enterprise, Scrunch's pricing page puts API on Enterprise, and Ahrefs opens both from Lite. Growth Radar's 41-tool MCP endpoint is on every plan, the $0 one included, and answers plain curl.

Every cell links its source. Checked October 29, 2026.

API and MCP access by vendor

Try the Growth Radar agent API

The first call needs no account: it returns every tool with its input schema and whether it reads or writes. The second needs a token from Settings, or let your MCP client sign in with OAuth instead.

List every tool, no account needed

curl -s -X POST https://growthradar.app/api/mcp \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/list"}'

Read your sites with a token from Settings

curl -s -X POST https://growthradar.app/api/mcp \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $GROWTH_RADAR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":2,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"list_apps","arguments":{}}}'

Claude Code, signing in with OAuth

claude mcp add --transport http growth-radar https://growthradar.app/api/mcp

Cursor or any client that reads mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "growth-radar": {
      "url": "https://growthradar.app/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Every tool the agent API exposes

One JSON-RPC endpoint, every tool on it: your agent reads the data and records the fix it ships.

Where the others are stronger

  • Peec AI and Scrunch expose far more tools, and both let an agent change tracking setup such as brands and prompts.
  • Profound, Peec AI and Scrunch publish full REST API references; Growth Radar has one JSON-RPC endpoint and a CLI.
  • Ahrefs Brand Radar reads from a large pre-collected prompt index; Growth Radar probes only the questions your own sites should answer.
  • Peec AI and AthenaHQ can publish content to a CMS. Growth Radar never publishes; your agent ships the change in your own repository.

What Growth Radar adds: after your agent ships a fix, it records the change and Growth Radar grades it against Search Console data. See the full comparisons or connect it to Claude Code.

Questions about AI visibility APIs

Which AI visibility tool has an API on a self-serve plan?

From the pages checked: Peec AI from its Pro plan, OtterlyAI from Standard, Ahrefs from Lite, and AthenaHQ as a paid add-on on Starter. Profound keeps its API on Enterprise, and Scrunch's pricing page marks its APIs Enterprise only.

Which one has the largest MCP toolset?

Peec AI documents 106 MCP tools, 56 read and 50 write. Scrunch documents 51. Growth Radar has 41, 11 of which write, and those writes touch only Growth Radar's own records.

Can an agent change my website through these APIs?

Peec AI can publish accepted content to a connected CMS and AthenaHQ has a publish_content tool. Growth Radar's tools never publish; an agent ships the fix in your repository itself, then records it so Growth Radar grades the change.

How were these rows checked?

Each cell links the vendor's own docs or pricing page, read on 2026-10-29. Where the pricing page and the docs disagree, the cell says so. Nothing comes from a trial account or a sales call.
